Cristobal is an locale in the
Bocas del Toro Archipelago, Panama — specifically, Isla Cristobal.

 

Cristobal is one of many distinct O. pumilio island populations. Each island in Bocas del Toro has frogs that have evolved unique color patterns due to geographic isolation.
Seek 
stable breeding traits with clear lineage when making an acquisition!

Appearance:

Body color -Typically bright red or orange-red.

Legs-Usually blue or blue-green, sometimes spotted.

Pattern-Some individuals may have small black spots or be mostly spotless. Males are often slightly smaller than females.

Availability:

Legally captive-bred lines are in the dart frog hobby — wild collection remains regulated.
Keeping locales pure is extremely important for conservation-minded breeders.
